TOPIC: WELLNESS STRATEGY IN THE POST-COVID WORLD

Since first emerging in early 2020, the primary impact of COVID-19 - the morbidity and mortality associated with infection - has been the focus of much discussion, analysis, and policy development worldwide. However, as time passes a clearer picture of the broader fallout has begun to develop. This presentation will focus on the secondary and tertiary impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, namely the pandemic's impact on healthcare utilization and broader mental and behavioral health outcomes, that many groups will be forced to address in the months and years to come.

We will review relevant data and best practices as they relate to employee wellness, and discuss recommended tactics and strategies moving forward to ensure your wellness program is optimized for success in a post-COVID world.

    Objectives:

Rising health care premiums have driven more employers to reduce benefits and pass costs onto employees. Coupled with a tight labor market, employers rely heavily on HR professionals to seek out cost-containment strategies. Wellness programs present a great opportunity to take control of your health care spending and promote a healthy, productive workforce.
