    SPEAKER:         Tricia L. Pelc, LPC, NBCC, EMDR-C

    Tricia graduated from Gannon University in 2002 with a BA in Psychology and again in 2005 with an MS in Community Counseling. Tricia is in Private Practice in Erie, PA where she works primarily with adults and older adolescents. She’s worked in the mental health field since she was 21 years old in multiple settings from child residential units to in-home services, substance abuse and inpatient psychiatric hospitals, to outpatient services. Tricia provides EMDR and Somatic Experiencing for trauma, anxiety, depression, traumatic grief, anger management, domestic violence, and many other areas of mental health. She’s also trained in Prolonged Exposure for trauma treatment. Tricia enjoys training and teaching others about the trauma response and how the body responds to trauma. She enjoys meeting new people when she is presenting or attending CEUs throughout the year.

    TOPIC:               Managing Staff Through Stress

    When facing heightened stress, employees react in diverse ways. For some, stress leads to a drop-off in performance, lowered morale, or emotional outbursts. For others, high-pressure, stressful situations actually become an opportunity to shine. As a manager, it’s difficult to anticipate the multitude of reactions you’re likely to observe during times of stress, and even harder to be equipped with the tools to handle them all. This workshop helps you plan for the expected and the unexpected and provides practical tools for dealing with both positive and negative employee behaviors during stressful times.

    This activity has been pre-approved for (1) one general recertification hour(s) towards HRCI and SHRM continuing education. Information will be provided to attendees following the program with proper information to submit for individual recertification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
