    SPEAKER:        Christina Marsh

    Chris serves as Chief Diversity and Community Development Officer at Erie Insurance. Chris and her team are responsible for the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion practices, community engagement, and economic development activities in ERIE’s hometown and across its footprint.  She is also responsible for leading ERIE’s efforts around ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) practices.

    TOPIC:               Emerging Practices for Advancing DEI within an Organization

    This presentation will share business impacts of good DEI practices within an organization, review how Erie Insurance views DEI and our own maturity/journey, share examples of practices here to engage our leaders/employees in our DEI efforts, and lessons learned over the past decade as we look to the future.

    SPEAKER:         Maureen Krowicki

    Maureen serves as in-house council for Erie Insurance.  She leads the Corporate Legal Department which provides corporate and business legal support to the company as well as Employment and Employee Benefits legal support to ERIE’s HR and DEI departments.

    TOPIC:               The Legal Landscape for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the U.S.

    This presentation will provide a high-level summary of the legal landscape and how to navigate that while still advancing company DEI priorities.  The following topics will be reviewed:  the legal landscape for DEI in the workplace, approaching decisions about risk tolerance, improved partnership between DEI professionals and counsel, and looking beyond HR and DEI.
