Topic - Payroll Audit Independent Determination (PAID) Program.
The presentation will provide details of the Wage and Hour Division’s PAID program, explain its scope, its purpose, and all of the benefits it offers for all parties. Karen will review how you can participate, what you can expect as you work your way through the process, and the conditions that must be satisfied for you to participate. She will also discuss the sorts of payroll issues that the program can help you resolve, and those that it cannot.
PAID is a self-audit program that the Wage and Hour Division offers to enable resolution of inadvertent minimum wage and overtime violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act without litigation. It allows and encourages employers to come forward, proactively, to remedy inadvertent violations, and work with the agency in good faith to fix them.
