    This program will review the best practices to employ when conducting internal investigations into complaints of employee misconduct.  Particular focus will be given to claims of sexual harassment.  Attorney Wassell will share practical suggestions on the most effective methods of examining workplace complaints of employees, and will review the legal issues that can arise during investigations.  Topics to be discussed will include:

    ·         How to properly conduct an internal investigation and who should be involved.

    ·         How to conduct witness interviews.

    ·         How to question the accused employee.

    ·         How to search an employee’s desk, computer, or personal items.

    ·         How to handle “he said/she said” cases.

    ·         How to evaluate the evidence and take action.

    ·         How to prepare the investigative report.

    Mr. Wassell, who is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and Ohio, has been helping employers with labor and employment issues for over 30 years.
